Broadway At Birdland!

Emily sang back up for Cady Huffman at Birdland on January 29th, 2007. Cady won the Tony Award for her performance as Ulla in The Producers on Broadway.  Angie Schworer, the current Ulla, also made an appearance.  It was tall, blonde, and fabulous!

2006 World Aids Day Concert
Emily sang in the World Aids Day Concert of the musical RAGS. It was held at the new Nokia Theater in Times Square and was co-presented by artistic producer Jamie McGonnigal and The Joey DiPaolo AIDS Foundation. Altar Boyz' Stafford Arima directed the one-night-only event. Avenue Q’s Mark Hartman was musical director.

Jamie McGonnigal Presents Green 2
New York's Brightest New Talent Saluted the Music of Broadway Legend Charles Strouse in the GREEN 2 Concert. The concert took place at 7PM at the Upper West Side's Makor Theatre. XL Star Winner Emily McNamara sang songs from Applause and Rags.

Emily was in two productions that were nominated for Barrymore Awards:

Dreamgirls and A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum!

The Awards are the greater Philadelphia region's comprehensive theatre awards program, produced annually by the Theatre Alliance of Greater Philadelphia.

The Early Revue with Scott Nevins at the Metropolitan Room
Nevins' variety show returned to the Metropolitan Room in September, 2006. The evening included performances by Kathy Brier, Leslie Kritzer, Julie Garnye, Emily McNamara and Johnathan Groff. Hosted by Nevins, the Early Revue featured musical director Jesse Vargas at the piano.

Gretna Theatre performer Emily McNamara hosted a Monday night cabaret on July 17th, 2006.  The show featured two of New York's finest up and coming singers, Alysha Umphress (XL Star Champion Season 1), and Kate Pazakis (The Sexless Years, Newsical: The New Edition, A Broadway Diva Christmas)
